During my time at GIMSR, I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of a diverse student community, which has helped me gain insights into different cultures and perspectives. The enriching academic environment, coupled with opportunities for interdisciplinary learning and research, has significantly contributed to my academic growth. I would like to highlight the Department of Community Medicine, which stands out for its strong academic program and knowledgeable, supportive faculty. They inspire us to engage in research studies and explore new ideas. Under their guidance, I have developed valuable skills and gained confidence in my abilities. I am truly grateful for the learning environment here and the numerous opportunities for personal and academic growth.

My experience as the first postgraduate student in the Department of Paediatrics at GITAM Institute of Medical Sciences and Research has been immensely rewarding. The department offers excellent facilities, diverse clinical exposure, and strong academic support. I am grateful for the mentorship of Dr. Lalita Wadhwa, whose guidance helped me tackle complex medical challenges with confidence. The variety of cases, from common ailments to rare diseases, combined with hands-on experience in the NICU and PICU, has greatly enhanced my clinical skills. Research is a priority here, and I appreciated the opportunity to present at conferences with the support of dedicated faculty. I learned that being a paediatrician means caring for patients with compassion. As I move forward, I am thankful for the invaluable experiences I gained and proud to be the first postgraduate of this department.

Life as a Junior Resident in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at GIMSR is both demanding and rewarding. The rigorous curriculum requires us to balance our clinical responsibilities with intensive study. We play a crucial role in patient care, managing ward rounds and emergency cases. The supportive faculty encourages our active participation in various conferences and academic competitions. The facilities in the department and the skills lab enhance our learning experience. Additionally, GIMSR offers cultural and recreational activities that promote a vibrant campus life.

I am very much thankful for the opportunity I got to express my gratitude to GIMSR. The very awe that transpires in people when I say that I am a student of GIMSR, Visakhapatnam is a testimonial to how sought-after the college is. Pursuing my postgraduate (MS-ENT) from GIMSR is, indeed, a great experience. The medical college and the hospital are both beautifully constructed and adept for providing the rigorous training that any medical student requires. The faculty are very unique in chiseling out the best in the students, without the students realizing that they are getting future ready. The regularly held seminars, presentations, CMEs and conferences are leading us to be exposed to the upcoming trends and quality medical education. We are taught not only the theoretical aspects but also encouraged for clinical skills. I can honestly say that joining GIMSR was the best decision I've ever made.
